Daliese Lomax

My name is Daliese Lomax. I am a 2025 Right hand Pitcher/ Utility from Portland Oregon, and I play for NW Vandals 18U Trickle.

I am a 5’4”,165lbs athlete. As much as I love to Pitch, I also enjoy playing many infield positions including third base, shortstop, and  catcher. In the lineup, I normally hit 2 through 5. Hitting is my favorite aspect of the game, being able to go up to the plate and have quality at bats is what I love.

I will always do whatever it takes to drive my teammates in and have a solid at bat to score runs no matter what. My favorite part about Pitching is that. I am able to use verbal skills to lead my team, as well as always being a part of the game during every play.

The most important thing for me is to build a strong relationship with my players. A huge key to success is making sure my fielders know I have their back on and off the field. My current GPA is a 3.71, unfortunately I have not been able to take my SAT due to COVID-19.

Softball has been one of the biggest parts of my life since I was 4, there is nothing I want more than to continue my career at the next level, create many new bonds with coaches and teammates, and have a successful season! For me, softball is not just about winning games and being the best, it is about the relationships you build and it has taught me that no matter where life takes you and no matter how tough it can get to always remember the kind of person I want to be in life. This game has by far shaped me into the person I am today, on and off the field.
