Paisley Rains
Hi! Thank you so much for being here! My name is Paisley Rains, and I am in the class of 2025 at
Silverton High School. I play softball for NW Vandals and Varsity at Silverton High, where I am also on
Varsity Dance Team.
I have danced and played softball since I was 4 years old (t-ball). I began playing competitive softball my
second year of 12u, and I have continued to grow in my love for the sport. Softball has been integral in
shaping my leadership skills, communication skills, teamwork, inclusivity, and sportsmanship. I have
experienced the full spectrum of feelings when it comes to softball and dance, from joy to
disappointment, pain to relief, exhaustion to vigor, and all have sparked a fire in me to keep challenging
myself and pushing harder each day. Although both sports are very different, they both create a diverse
athletic backdrop in which I thrive.
I hope to pursue a college education in healthcare, either Nursing or Imaging. Ideally, a great fit would
be a college where I can continue my softball career and pursue my future health career. I currently
work hard to juggle two sports and an accelerated class schedule, and I plan to continue that drive in
college. In all things, I try to be better today than I was yesterday.
